Lillian E. "Betty" Stoner, 90, of Parkesburg, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Pocopson Home. She was the widow of Harry Paul Stoner who died in 1979. Born in Coatesville on August 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Edith Walpole White.
Betty lived in Parkesburg most of her life and was a graduate of the Parkesburg High School. She was employed at the former Parkesburg Farmers Bank, later called the Meridian, as a teller retiring in 1979. She was also a lifelong member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Debra Ann, wife of David L. Kauffman of Parkesburg, three grandsons; Timothy P., Kevin S. and Michael D. Kauffman and one brother Harold G. White of Parkesburg.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11: 00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main Street, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
