Lewis C. Myers Jr

Lewis C. "Skip" Myers Jr., 77, of Pomeroy Heights, Coatesville, PA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, in West Chester, PA.  He was the husband of the late Susan Kuresko Myers who passed away in March.  Born in West Chester he was the son of the late Lewis Sr. and Dorothy Sprecher Myers.

Skip is survived by a daughter, Tonya (Michael) McMillan of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Kaitlyn Myers of Coatesville, Morgan Meeks of Coatesville, and Kathryne (Derek) Pinkerton of Stevens, PA, and five great-grandchildren, and his brother Gary (Paula) Myers of Coatesville.

Skip was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, and so much more - someone who embodied the spirit of generosity and kindness. Always willing to lend a hand to those around him, he was a calming presence in the lives of everyone he touched. Whether sharing a laugh, offering a comforting embrace during tough times, fixing what was broken, or simply making things right, he had a way of bringing peace and warmth to any situation.

His presence was like a steady anchor, always there to support, uplift, and bring light to the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Skip loved telling stories of growing up on the farm, often reminiscing about those simpler times when life was less complicated and filled with the everyday joys of rural living. For 40 years, he drove a truck for U.P.S., always eager to share tales from his travels - whether navigating the local streets in his package car during the early years or hauling double trailers over New York bridges later in his career.

After retiring, he found new purpose in driving a school bus, a job he embraced with the same dedication and warmth. He often spoke of the happiness "his kids" on the bus brought him, always quick to mention the wonderful families that became part of his daily route. It was clear that every day was a chance for him to connect with others, find joy in the little moments, and cherish the bonds he made along the way.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 67 Octorara Road, Parkesburg, PA.
