Leroy T. "Punkin" Woods

Leroy T. "Punkin" Woods, 83, of Bryn Mawr, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Haverford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Haverford, PA.

Born in West Grove, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert T. Woods and Lottie E. Walton Woods.  He was employed by the Woodward Brothers Farm of Rosedale, PA for 27 years, and retired from PennDOT of Downingtown in 1992 after 22 years of work.

He is survived by his siblings: William Y. Woods of Kennett Square, Samuel Woods of Morris, Ill, and Lillian King of Oakfield, New York; sister-in-law, Nancy L. Woods of Bryn Mawr and numerous nieces and nephews including Virginia Woods of Downingtown, Suzanne Chambers of Downingtown, Renee Racek of Smyrna, GA, William Racked of Downingtown, Alexandria Irey of Downingtown, and Olivia Chambers of Downingtown.   He was preceded in death by siblings: Charles, James, Daniel, Jennie and John Woods.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Longwood Cemetery of Kennett Square.  Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 AM until the time of the service.
