Leon S. Wolfe

Leon S. Wolfe, 89, of Coatesville, died on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Helen Jeanne Miller Wolfe with whom he shared 66 and a half years of marriage. Born in Pomeroy, he was the son of the late Frank F. and Anna R. Stover Wolfe.

Lee was an area resident all his life and a 1944 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. After graduation he joined the US Army Air Corp and served as part of a B-17 crew during WWII. He was employed by Pepperidge Farms in Downingtown as a machine mechanic.

Lee is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters; Karen L. Britt of Philadelphia and Barbara J. Wolfe of Parkesburg and two grandchildren; Nicole E. Friscia and husband John of Gilbertsville, PA and Christopher N. Britt of Philadelphia. He was preceded in death by six brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11am from the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S 17th Ave., Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA. Viewing at the Church from 10 until 11 AM.
