Katie Riehl Coblentz

Katie Riehl Coblentz, 99, of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Joseph Coblentz who died in 1984. Born in Gap, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Nancy Dinner Riehl.
Katie was an area resident all her life and a member of the Simmontown Mennonite Church.
She is survived by eight children; Anna Mary, wife of Ronald Pierantoni of Harrisonburg, VA, Rachel, wife of Jesse Gingrich of Myerstown, Lena Dietrich of Lititz, Gideon Coblentz and wife Rosella of Blue Ball, Moses Coblentz and wife Eileen of Allentown, Katie Coblentz of Ephrata, Jacob Coblentz and wife Cathie of Gap and Ruth Coblentz of Honey Brook, three daughter-in-laws; Martha, Denise and Linda Coblentz, one sister Lena Flaud of Honey Brook, 29 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons; Homer, Raymond and Joseph Coblentz, Jr., son-in-law Clarence Dietrich, granddaughter Kathy Jo Coblentz and three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10am from the Millwood Mennonite Church, 447 Amish Rd., Gap, PA followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. the viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm and also Thursday morning from 9 to 10am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Susquehanna Association for the Blind, 244 N Queen Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
