Kathleen M. Barker

May 29, 1942 — November 7, 2020

Kathleen M. Barker, 78, of Oxford, passed away on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 surrounded by her family, under the care of Reading Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Robert Barker, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in her childhood home in Parkesburg, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Ada (Gibson) and Harry L. Moore.  She was a 1961 graduate of Octorara High School.

Kathleen was a secretary at the former Beloit of Downingtown.  More importantly, she was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and housekeeping.  Inspired by her daughter, Kathleen enjoyed making dolls.  She also enjoyed attending craft shows, painting, and writing poetry.  Kathleen will be remembered as a humble, loving, generous person who was kind to everyone she met.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her two children: Tracy Mahaffey, wife of Monte, and Jeffery Barker, husband of Amber; grandchildren, Benjamin Mahaffey, husband of Amy, Nate Mahaffey, Graham Mahaffey, Mariah Gondek, wife of Chris, Quinn Barker, Aiyana Barker, Gabriel Barker, Alexia Barker, and Jezzell Barker; and great-grandchildren, Dean, Christopher, and Aires Gondek.

A memorial service will be announced at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a school near to Kathleen's heart, St Labre Indian School, and mailed to Tongue River Rd, Ashland, MT 59003.  A donation can also be made through the School's website by clicking HERE .
