Julio Eugenio Acosta II, 45, of Ephrata, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.
Born in Lancaster, Julio was the son of Viola Ruth Middleton Acosta and the late Julio Eugenio Acosta. He had most recently worked for Ashley Furniture in Reading. Previously, he had worked for Pepperidge Farm for 20 years.
Julio was a big Steelers fan. He loved to play poker and video games. He was a movie buff, especially science fiction and anime. He was a collector of Steelers memorabilia, Dragon Ball collectibles, and anime memorabilia. Most of all, he loved his family, son, and grandkids.
He is survived, in addition to his mother, by his wife, Marie Ann Acosta, his son, Julio "Bubby" G. Acosta, and step-daughter, Daniella Rodriguez; two grandchildren, Aryanna Sheppard and Gabriella Suriano; and siblings, Teena Butcher, wife of Alex, of Coatesville, Rosa Acosta-Kurtz, wife of Robert, of Modena, Junior Wilson of Philadelphia, Marcela Vincenzini, wife of Gino, of Thorndale, Robert Kurtz-Acosta of Modena, and Mercedez Kurtz-Acosta of Exton; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
Julio was predeceased, in addition to his father, by his brother, Noel Eugene Acosta.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at 12 noon at the Christiana American Legion, 219 Newport Ave, Christiana, PA 17509 with a visitation at the Legion from 9 AM until 12 noon. Interment will be at Mt. Zion AME Cemetery.
