Judy Mae Elvin, 72, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, November 6th at her home after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Edward G. Elvin, Sr. with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born and raised in the Coatesville area, Judy was the daughter of Mildred (Bryan) Gill and Leon J. Foster. She worked for 24 years at the Embreeville State Hospital Coatesville and later at TJ Maxx of Exton.
Judy will be remembered for being a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed their trips to their cabin in Potter County as well as ice cream at Kinney's Store. She took great pride in her home and flower gardens. Family picnics and gatherings were one of her greatest joys.
Judy is survived by her three children: Rhonda Supplee, wife of Chris, of Romansville, Debbie Davis, wife of Glenn, of Coatesville and Edward G. Elvin Jr., husband of Natalie, of Downingtown; seven grandchildren, Valerie J. Coy, Timothy A. Supplee, Valene J. Coy, Stacey R. Davis, Edward G. Elvin III, Elwood H. Elvin and Katie L. Supplee; five great grandchildren and one brother, Roger Foster of Coatesville.
She was predeceased by her brother Donald Foster.
The family extends special thanks to Judy's caregiver, Ada "Sara".
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery of East Fallowfield. Visitation will take place from 10 until 11 AM.
