Joyce Elaine Townsley Devlin

Joyce Elaine Townsley Devlin, 81, of Port Deposit, MD, formerly of Parkesburg, PA, passed away at home on Thursday, November 28, 2019 with her family by her side.

Born in Coatesville, PA on April 26, 1938 to the late Woodrow W. Townsley and Elva Clark Townsley of Parkesburg, PA.

Joyce taught Community Bible School for multiple churches in the Parkesburg area.  She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and she was also a member of Aglow.  She was also a member of the Belles in the 100th Celebration of Parkesburg in 1972.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard A. Devlin, Sr. of Parkesburg, PA, three sons; Leonard A. Devlin, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Port Deposit, MD, Robert W. Devlin and his wife Molly of Avondale, PA, Timothy S. Devlin and his wife Georgette of Parkesburg, PA, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one sister D. Jane Bucci of Wilmington, DE. She was preceded in death by one brother Bill L. Townsley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Towerville Christian Church, 10 Hannum Drive, East Fallowfield, PA 19320. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
