Joshua David Houck

Joshua David Houck, 15, of Strasburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, after a lengthy illness on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia .  He fought a brave and courageous battle.

Born in Lancaster, he was the beloved son of Vickie R. (Blevins) and Brian D. Houck.

Before he became ill he enjoyed baseball and football.  He always made you laugh with his crazy sense of humor.

Joshua is survived by his sister, Stephanie R. Houck of Strasburg, paternal grandparents, Ethel and William Houck of Gap and maternal grandmother, Betty Blevins of West Grove; five uncles, six aunts and 42 cousins.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Edward Blevins.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 22nd at 11 AM at Nottingham Missionary Baptist, 303 W Christine Rd, Nottingham, PA 19362, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.  The viewing will be held at the Church on both Thursday evening from 6:30 until 9 PM and again on Friday morning from 10 until 11 AM.
