Joseph David Mcgrogan

October 8, 1959 — November 17, 2017

Joseph David McGrogan, 58, of Parkesburg, died at his home on Friday, November 17, 2017. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Joseph B. McGrogan and Ann McCormick McGrogan.

He is survived by four children; Kira M. McGrogan of Phoenixville, David J. McGrogan of Phoenixville, Gabriel Q. McGrogan of Honey Brook and Liliana Jo McGrogan of Honey Brook, one brother Michael J. McGrogan of West Chester and two sisters Kathleen Forsythe of West Chester and Joann Gilbert of Douglassville, PA. He was preceded in death by two siblings; Maureen McGrogan Howard and Kenneth J. McGrogan.

Joe was a County resident all his life and a 1978 graduate of Henderson High School in West Chester. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Consolation Church of Parkesburg.

Joe was very passionate about music. He lived his life singing and playing the bass in many bands.

Joe was active in martial arts and earned the rank of 2nd degree black belt.

Joe loved taking pictures of God's work. The sky was a canvas that only He could paint on. Joe captured many of these pictures and shared them with family and friends daily with encouragement, love and faith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 AM at Our  Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. 2nd Avenue, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation from 10 until 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.  A viewing will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA
