Jorge Luis Rosa Alago

Jorge Luis Rosa Alago, 70, of Coatesville, PA passed away at his home on Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was the husband of the late Teresa Jane Showalter Rosa who died in 2011. They shared 35 years of marriage together. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Mariana Alago of Puerto Rico and the late Almiran Rosa. 

Jorge moved to the area from Puerto Rico with his family as a teenager. He received an Associates Degree training in mechanics and was employed for many years in the mushroom industry by Pietro Industries, Inc. in the Kennett Square and Chatham locations as a mechanic in the maintenance department.

He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and was an avid Philadelphia Sports Fan.

He is survived by three sons; Vernon Showalter of South Coatesville, Jorge L. Rosa, Jr. of Downingtown, PA and Tomas Rosa and wife, Faith Rosa of South Coatesville, five grandchildren; Jaden M. Gibbs, Kamryn Parker, Xavier Rosa, Tristan Rosa, and Ariana Cannon and one sister Lydia Rosa Alago of Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by one brother Norberto Rosa.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
