John Xavier D'Angelo, 72, of East Fallowfield, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 16, 2021, following a brief and unexpected illness. He's the husband of Elaine (John) D'Angelo, with whom he's shared 27 years of marriage.
John was the son of the late Anna (Sciotti) and Peter D'Angelo. He was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, graduated from Unionville High School, and retired from a career at Verizon (formerly Bell Atlantic). John served honorably in the US Army National Guard and was a lifelong American patriot. He belonged to Calvary Chapel of Chester Springs and he lived each day as a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. John was known for his good nature, sharp wit, staunch opinions, eagerness to help others, and—most of all—the love and devotion he had for his wife Elaine.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his two sons Brian and Jeffrey D’Angelo; his stepson, Matthew Fesak; his siblings, Jean Kovach, wife of George, Fran Broomall, Peter D'Angelo, husband of Lucy, Lori Yerkes, wife of Michael, and Joe D'Angelo; and his two dogs, Murphy and Marcy.
John was predeceased by his brother Michael, sister-in-law, Ruth D'Angelo, and brother-in-law, Robert Broomall.
Joint services for Elaine and her husband, John, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 19 at Calvary Chapel Chester Springs, located at 217 Dowlin Forge Rd, Exton, PA 19341. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period taking place from 10:30 AM until the start of the service. . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse in John’s memory.
