John P. Griffith Jr.

John P. Griffith Jr., 78, of Paradise, PA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.  He was the husband of the late Carol J. Linderman Griffith who passed away in 2010.  Born in Honey Brook, PA, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Elsie Baum Griffith.

John recently worked for Fleur De Lait Foods Inc., in New Holland, PA.  He previously worked at the Turkey Hill and Weis Markets in Gap, PA. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.

He enjoyed country music, golf, and fishing at Bowers Beach, DE. He also enjoyed watching westerns and The Weather Channel.  He was a big fan of the Carolina Panthers football team.

He is survived by his daughters, Christina (Marc) Miller of Paradise, and Margaret Taylor of York, PA, and grandchildren, Jonathan and Brayden.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Griffith, Herbert Griffith and Shirley Ann Whiteman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment to follow at Glenmoore Methodist Cemetery.
