John "Jack" Friel, Jr.

John "Jack" Friel, Jr., 58, of Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Brandywine Hospital. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late John Friel, Sr. and Edith Rafine Friel.

Jack was an area resident all his life. He was self employed locally as a landscaper. He was a social member of the Coatesville VFW Post #287. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing pool and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his companion Barbara Leibold, two children; John Friel, III of Winchester, VA and Laura Friel of Ephrata, step daughter Samantha Toomey of Ephrata, seven grandchildren; Sierra, Urijah, Lyla, Shane, Vanessa, Aiden and Destiny and three siblings; Harlan H. Whisler of Phoenixville, Leona Devore of Downingtown and Joseph Friel of Downingtown. He was preceded in death by one son Joshua Friel and two siblings; Robert H. Whisler, Jr. and Donna Donnell.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
