John H. Owens

John H. Owens, 69, of Coatesville, passed away at his home on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Erwin Owens with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Samuel Owens and Dorothy Parent Morris and Daniel H. Morris, Jr.

John was an area resident all his life and graduate of the West Chester Senior High School. He continued his education at Williiamson Trade School and was self employed as a carpenter for 26 years. John proudly served with the US Navy CB's in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.

He was an active vestry member at St. John's Episcopal Church in Compass, PA.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children; Susan Poverelli of NC and Paul Owens of GA, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother Daniel H. Morris, III of Frederick, MD.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11am  from the St. John's Episcopal Church, 1520 W Kings Hwy, Gap, PA 17527 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation at the church from 10 to 11am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. John's Episcopal Church at the above address.
