John F. "Truck" Miller

John Franklin “Truck” Miller , 83, of Coatesville, passed away at Paoli Hospital on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Blanche (Preston) Miller and John Miller . He was the beloved husband of Linda (Brownback) Miller with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

John was a 1957 graduate of Coatesville Area High School and went on to honorably serve our nation in the United States Marine Corps. He was later employed by Lukens Steel of Coatesville.

He served as Vice President of Clearfield Valley View Hunt Club and was a trustee at the West End Fire Company.

John was a talented basketball player and also participated in a variety of adult softball leagues and is credited with pitching a perfect game.

He is survived in addition to his wife by one son: Daniel Miller and his wife Kim of Honey Brook. Additionally, he is survived by two siblings: Verna Hurley and husband Pat of Atglen, and Ella Davis and husband Jack, 3 grandchildren: Tad Miller , Laura Miller , and Tate Miller , 4 great-grandchildren: Jaxton, Waylon, Valerie, and Cameron.

He is preceded in death by one son: John Christopher Miller (2021) and 2 siblings: William Miller and Joseph Miller .

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
