John C. Reese, Sr.

John C. Reese, Sr., 75, of Paradise, passed away on Friday, June 7th at the Lancaster General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rebecca Burk Reese, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in Springdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Raymond E. Reese Sr. and Vera (Gregory) Reese.

He was employed by Carolina Freight and A. Duie Pyle, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of the West Coatesville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children: John C. Reese, Jr., husband of Glenwin, of Coatesville and Zina B. Redcay of Paradise; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and siblings, Floyd Reese of Virginia and Freda Fronefield of Parkesburg.

John was predeceased by two children, Georgia A. Hughes and Raymond Reese, and siblings, Raymond Jr., Emma Jean Cantler, Myrtle Thomas and Rebecca Spencer.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 1 PM at the West Coatesville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 67 Octorara Rd, Parkesburg, PA 19365.
