John C. Butler, Jr.

John C. Butler Jr., 62, of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his beloved wife of 32 years, Jean Pluck Butler.

Born in Coatesville, he was the son Florence Wright Butler of Downingtown and the late John C. Butler, SR.  He was an 1966 graduate of Scott High School.  He served honorably in the US Army, serving in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.  He was recently retired from the Independence Construction Materials as a driver.

John was a member of the West Caln Sportsman Club, the Penn Hill Climb Assoc. and the Washington Fire Co.  He belonged to the Olivet Methodist Church.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children: Patrick Butler, husband of Franka, who are stationed in S. Korea with the US Army, Todd Hart, husband of Leda, of Coatesville, Stacy Kerr, wife of Edward, of Cochranville and Michele Martin of Coatesville; nine grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Ann Hanlon.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg.  Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 until 11 AM.
