Janet Gregg Pratt

August 3, 1920 — October 7, 2014

Janet Gregg Pratt, age 94, died October 7, 2014.  She was the wife of the late Herman H. Pratt with whom she shared 70 years of marriage.

Formerly of Wagontown, she resided at Hickory House Nursing Home for the last year and a half.  Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late George W. Gregg and Elizabeth Davidson Gregg.

She was a 1938 graduate of Coatesville High School and attended the old West Chester State College.

She had been a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Coatesville and a former member of the Alter Guild and a Sunday School Teacher.  She was Vice President of the Coatesville All Girls Chorus during WWII.  She was also a member of the Parkesburg Senior Citizens and the Senior Circle of the Brandywine Hospital.  She had also served on her high school class reunion committee.

Mrs. Pratt is survived by a son, David Pratt and his wife Brenda of Gordonville, Pa., and a daughter Gail O'Donnell and her husband William of Dover, PA, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a great granddaughter and a sister, Ethel Shank.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13 at 11 AM from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg.  The service will be officiated by Rev. Mark Beideman. Viewing at the funeral home from 10 AM until 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
