Jane L. S. Davidson, 73, of Glenmoore, Pa., died on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Neighborhood Hospice Center of West Chester. She was the widow of the late Lester Davidson, who passed away in 2010 after they shared 49 years of marriage together.
Born in Lancaster on April 5th, 1939, she was the daughter of the late David and Helen K. (Buch) Smoker. She was a graduate of the Lampeter-Strasburg High School and she received her Bachelors of Library Science from Millersville University.
She was employed by the County of Chester as the Historic Preservation Office. She was awarded numerous awards for her work.
Jane was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Coatesville.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina K. Davidson of Glenside, and son, Randy, husband of Sharon Davidson of Wagontown, two grandchildren, Hunter and Blaise and Jane's three siblings, Albert Smoker of Felton, Cork Smoker and Marie Brenaman, both of Willow Street.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20th at 11 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 South 17th Avenue, Coatesville, PA 19320. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday evening at the church from 6 pm to 9pm and also Thursday morning from 10 am to the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Oxford Cemetery.
