James R. Scott

James R. Scott, 76, of Downingtown, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was the husband of Charmaine M. Beems Scott with whom he shared 27 years of marriage. Born in Bondsville, Chester County, he was the son of the late Charles and Stella McComsey Scott.

Mr. Scott was an area resident all his life. He proudly served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was employed for 17 years by A. Duie Pyle as a truck driver and had worked for over 52 years on the road as a truck driver.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two grandchildren, one sister Barney Stinedurf of Honey Brook and one brother Charles Scott of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his son Randy Scott.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
