James R. Morris, Sr.

James R. Morris, Sr., 50, of Pomeroy Heights, Coatesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Susan Varley Morris, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late William F. Morris Jr. and Gloria Rulon Morris.  He had been employed at Resource Plus as a Regional Manager, retiring three years ago.  He had most recently worked for Krapf Bus Co.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children, Jim R. Morris Jr. and Kristin Ann Morris; and two siblings, William F. Morris III of Kennett Square and Sharon Turner of Tampa Bay, FL.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Young.

The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 12 Noon at the Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg.  Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held at the Church from 11 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Morris family.
