James Preston Davidson

James Preston Davidson, 81, of Downingtown, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 9, 2010.  He was the beloved husband of Amy E. "Betty" Sturgis Davidson, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.



Born in Oxford, Pa., he was the son of the late Leroy Rambo Davidson and Elma Reburn Davidson.  A resident of Downingtown since 1966, he was retired from the former Warren Pontiac - Buick, where he had worked for 27 of his 45 total years as an Auto Mechanic.



He enjoyed watching the Phillies, working on cars and motorcycles and he loved country music.



He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his three children: James P. Davidson, and girlfriend Donna Marconi, of Sadsburyville, Ronald C. Davidson, and girlfriend Michelle Kenworthey, of Downingtown and Brian K. Davidson, husband of Cheryl, of Honey Brook; his sister, Dona Miller, wife of Tom, of Thorndale; six grandchildren and two great, grandchildren.



The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, PA.  Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be from 10 until 11 AM.
