James L. Gill

James L. Gill, 82, of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 26th at Hickory House of Honey Brook.  He was the widower of the late Anne Yunkin Gill, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, James was the son of the late Sara Franciscus Gill Liberatore and Lewis Gill.  He was retired from the former Lukens Steel, where he worked for 33 years as a Pipe Fitter.

He was a Lifetime Member of Parkesburg Fire Company.

His favorite things were family, friends and fishing.  He was a caregiver to all his family.

He is survived by his four children: Patti Merrill, wife of David, of Christiana, James L. Gill, partner of Deborah Campbell, of Downingtown, Vicki B. York, wife of Steve, of East Earl, and Jeff Gill of Christiana; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild; four siblings, Nancy Owens of Parkesburg, Kathryn Stanley of Brooksville, Fl., Monte Gill of Gulfport, Miss., and Gary Gill of Coatesville.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Joy Gill, and his brother William Gill.

Celebration of life service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11 AM at Parkesburg Methodist Church, 411 Main St, Parkesburg, PA 19365 with a visitation from 10 until 11 AM.
