James H. Althouse

James H. Althouse, 85, of Coatesville, died on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Harrison Senior Living Center in Christiana, PA. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Harvey and Gertrude Haws Althouse.

Jim was an area resident all his life and was a self employed carpenter. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

He is survived by three step children; Susan K., wife of David Rasdorf of Alexandria, VA, Sandra K., wife of Robert Haines of E. Fallowfield and David M. Reynolds, husband of Shannon of Sadsburyville, adopted daughter Marleen, wife of Ken Pomaiba of E. Fallowfield, former wife Kay Longabaugh Althouse of Coatesville, 10 grandchildren; Amy, Kimberly, Molly, David, Andrew, Traci, Taylor, Tyler, Ryan and Kathryne. And three great grandchildren, Robert, Ava and Jaxon.  He was predeceased in death by a son Brian Althouse and one brother Donald Althouse.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2pm from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Viewing from 1 to 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harrison House Entertainment Fund, 300 Strode Avenue, Coatesville PA 19320.
