James Franklin London

James Franklin London, 79, of Downingtown, passed away at his home on Friday, December 21, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Mary Shepherd London with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late Frederick D. London and Iva Gray London.

Jim was a County resident all his life. He was employed for 27 years by Graphic Packaging in Paoli retiring as a supervisor in 2001.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Teon A. Lee, Sr. and wife Tracy of York, PA, Ronald Shepherd and wife Andrea of Paoli, PA, Rita Shipman and husband Michael of Downingtown, daughter-in-law Sharon Shepherd of Malvern, PA, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 11 siblings; Harry London, Michael London and wife Gloria, Lester London and wife Carol, Andrew London, Barry London, Larry London and wife Anita, Gertrude Ford, Margie Brake, Tillie Lavender, Dorothy London and Joyce Scott and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son Richard A. Shepherd, and by eight siblings; Ronald London, Frederick London, Jr., Robert London, Edward London, Harold London, William London, Margaret Valentine and Ida London and two grandsons; Ronald Shepherd, II and David Shepherd.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Hephzibah Baptist Church. 2237 Strasburg Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by interment at the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery in Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 9:00 AM to the time of the service.
