James Edward Rice

James Edward Rice, 75, of Coatesville, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Pocopson Home, West Chester, PA. He was the beloved husband of Katherine A. Franciscus Rice with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late James Thomas Rice and Anne Cunningham Rice.

Jim was an area resident all his life and a 1965 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed by the West End Fire Company in Coatesville as a firefighter and a paramedic and in addition, he was retired from Vietri Electric.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two children; Roderick D. Rice and wife Brenda of East Earl, PA and Brandi Lee Rice of Parkesburg, one grandson Vincent A. Rice of East Earl and two sisters; Barbara Kauffman of Wagontown, PA and Jeannie Meacham of Coatesville. PA.

Funeral and burial services will be private.
