James Edward Dixon, Jr.

James Edward "Dixon" "Tuddin" Dixon, Jr., 57, of Coatesville, went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2013, Easter Sunday morning Resurrection Day at home in the loving arms of his wife Pat and his parents. Born in Parkesburg on May 25, 1955, he was the son of James E. Dixon, Sr. and Constance Wilson Dixon of Parkesburg.

He graduated of the Octorara High School, class of 1973 and attended Lincoln University. He was an avid fisherman, collector of Corvettes and loved listening to James Brown. He was employed by the former Embreeville State Hospital for 25 years, SESTU for ten years, he also worked at Concepts and Concern.

He is survived by his adoring and loving wife Patricia Comfort Dixon, who never left his side during his entire illness. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Sheila Washington (Theodore) of Downingtown, three grandsons; Jamie Vann (Casie) of Rochester, NY, Antuan Miller of Miami, FL, and Teddy Miller of Downingtown, one great grandson, Trenton Vann of New York, parents James and Constance Dixon of Parkesburg, PA. One sister Shirley Dixon of Parkesburg and one brother Gerald Dixon, (Chrisia) of Clermont, Fl and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a special, loveable and very private person so we adhere to the final requests of a man that did it his way.

He lived his life and he traveled afar, but more than that, yes, much more than that, he did it his WAY!!!

Arrangements are being handled by the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences may be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com

I would like to send a sincere thank you to everyone who gave of themselves during this very difficult time.  You have each helped to ease a burden that is so hard to bear.  I thank you for all your prayers, phone calls, texts, emails, visits, food, flowers, beautiful plaque, angel, and cards up to 252 and still receiving them.  One hundred and ten of these cards were from my brother-in-law Jerry and his wife Chrisia.  To my sister-in-law, thank you, Shirley Dixon you are simply the best.  My daughter and best friend Sheila, I knew it was very hard for you, thank you for everything.  My grandsons thank you for your love and concern.  My in-laws James and Constance Dixon, thank you for raising such a wonderful son.  To every member of the Dixon family, I say thank you.  To the friends and family that feel sad because they didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Dixon (Tuddin) because there wasn’t a service, pleased don’t feel that way, it was his request that I honored.  If you truly knew him you would understand.  So remember the last time you saw or spoke with him.  I am sure Dixon left you with positive words, laughter and yes at times things you didn’t want to hear, because if you asked his opinion he would tell you the truth.  If I forgot anyone please charge it to my head and not my heart.
God’s Blessings,
Patricia Dixon
