James C. Robinson, 68, of Gap, passed away on March 13, 2013 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Forbes Robinson, with whom he would have shared 44 years of marriage on April 19th, 2013.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clarence Diller Robinson and Helen "Mae" Williams Robinson. He was a 1962 graduate of Twin Valley High School. From 1963 until 1967 he served in the USAF, which prepared him to work 35 years as a Lockheed Martin subcontractor for the US Defense Systems; a job that took him around the world.
He was member of the New Holland American Legion Post #0662 and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Mr. Robinson belonged to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension of Parkesburg.
He enjoyed fishing trips with his son and grandchildren; and vacationing with his wife and his faithful dog "Corkie" at the beach.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his son James Michael Robinson, husband of Christina Herr Robinson; grandchildren, James Donald ("J.D."), Riley Elizabeth and his sister, Janet Robinson Martini, wife of Paul ("Ray") Martini. He was predeceased by his sister Flora Lee Robinson Dauch.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 18 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg. Interment will be held privately at Upper Octorara Cemetery at a later date. The viewing will be held on both Sunday evening from 6 until 8 PM and again on Monday morning from 10 until 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' memory to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 406 W 2nd Ave Parkesburg, PA 19365.
