Howard Ronald "Ron" Bernard, 81, of East Fallowfield, PA, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was the husband of Ellen Moore Bernard for over 60 years. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond H. Bernard and Thelma Busher Bernard.

He was an area resident all his life and worked for the Worthington Steel Company in Malvern, PA, in the company's storeroom. Prior to that he worked in their shipping/receiving department. His commitment to work started as a boy delivering newspapers in Modena, PA.

Ron was a current member of Impact Church in Parkesburg where he enjoyed the men's breakfast and the 55 club. He was a former member of Kingsway Independent Church in Sadsburyville, PA, where he served as a deacon and treasurer. He then served as a deacon at Hephzibah Baptist Church in East Fallowfield, PA. Wherever he attended he was known for his card ministry, phone calls, and witnessing to people.

He enjoyed long car rides, drives to Florida, vacations to the beach, Camping trips, and his vacation to Montreal, Canada. He was an avid Philly sports fan and rejoiced in the Eagles Super Bowl victory.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Dianne (Robert) Coleman of Berks County, Rhonda (Rick) Bowden of Coatesville, and Cindy (Nick) Bruni of Ridley Park, PA, grandsons, James Tucker, Matthew Bruni, and Joel Bruni, and siblings, James and David Bernard. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Ryan Bowden, a son-in-law, Ed Tucker and siblings, Daniel Bernard, Catherine Bernard, Irene Groff, Elaine Swinehart, and Norman Bernard.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, 12 noon at Impact Church, 101 E. 1st Ave., Parkesburg, PA 19365. The family will receive guests immediately following the service at a fellowship luncheon at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
