Helen L. Olsen

Helen L. Olsen, 71, of Parkesburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the home of her sister Bobbi and companion Duke Gavin of Gordonville. She was the widow of the late Howard Olsen who died in 1984. Born in Johnson City, TN, she was the daughter of the late Smith and Grace Thomas Johnson.

Helen had been employed by the Tabis Hotel in Downingtown.



She is survived by two children; Michael Olsen and wife Carrie of Honey Brook and Sharon, wife of Dwayne Lonsinger of Modena, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, five sisters; Pauline McMemar, Judy Andrews, Bobbi Klinovski, Doris Swisher and Norma McGarity, two brothers; Bill and Smitty Johnson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death a nephew Buzzy Swisher.



Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 11:00am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 10 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
