Helen K. Rogers

Helen K. Rogers, 81, of Parkesburg, passed away on Sunday, October 4th at Harrison Senior Living of Christiana.  Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Jacob Kowalski.

Helen was a 1952 graduate of Scott High School.  She worked for over 25 years as a Teacher's Aid at Coatesville Child and Career Development Center.

She is survived by four children: James Rogers, husband of Diane, of Wildwood Crest, NJ, Mark Rogers of St. Petersburg, Fl, Leigh Ann Wright, of Lancaster, and Amy Houck of Tampa, Fl; and granddaughter Tabitha Bentley, wife of David, who Helen has raised since birth; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; and sister, Jean Malatesta of Trinity, FL.

Helen was predeceased by her siblings Joseph Kowalski and Ann Melnick; and one grandchild, Melissa Galdenzi

A funeral of Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, October 10 at 10:30 am at the Holy Ghost Ukranian Orthodox Church, 392 Charles St. Coatesville followed by interment at the Holy Ghost Ukranian Orthodox Cemetery.  The viewing will be at the church from 9 to 10:30 AM.
