Harry R. Bingaman

Harry R. Bingaman, 70 yrs, of Leola, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home.

Harry was born on August 22, 1944 in Lancaster.  He was the son of the late LeRoy W. and Marguerite R. (Miller) Bingaman. Harry was the husband of Loretta E. (Barkman) Bingaman, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.

He was a retired mill operator.  Harry was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. He enjoyed camping and going on walks.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Roger O. Martin.

Surviving is a stepson, Arthur “Ed” Martin Jr. of Honey Brook, two stepdaughters, Karen A. Engle of Honey Brook and Elaine E. Martin-Sloan of Leola, two brothers, Donald and David Bingaman both of Coatesville, two sisters, Jacquelyn “Shirley” Ressler of Lancaster Co. and Catherine E. Winnemere of Pottstown. There are 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA followed by interment St. Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
