Harry L. Griest

Harry L. Griest, 77, of Highland Township, Chester County, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Neighborhood Inpatient Unit in West Chester. He was the beloved husband of Mary S. Correll Griest with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born and raised in Highland Township, he was the son of the late Newton M. and I. Ruth Howett Griest.

Harry was a 1954 graduate of the Cochranville High School. He spent his entire life in Highland as a self employed dairy farmer. He attended Freedom Life Christian Center.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons; James L. Griest and wife Heidi of Coatesville and Rodney L. Griest of Queensbury, NY, two grandsons, one granddaughter and two siblings; Thelma Weaver of Parkesburg and Charles Griest of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by one brother Kenneth W. Griest.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11am from the Freedom Life Christian Center, 447 Noble Rd, Christiana, PA 17509 followed by interment at the Penningtonville Presbyterian Cemetery in Atglen. Viewing at the church from 10 to 11am.
