Harold V. Stoltzfus, 96, of Lock Haven, PA, formerly of Parkesburg, died on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the Susque View Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Pearle M. Stoltzfus who died in 2011. Born in Parkesburg, he was the son of the late Nickolas S. and Hanna M. Lindley Stoltzfus.
Harold was an area resident all his life and a 1939 graduate of the former Scott High School. He served as S/Sgt in the US Army during WWII in the Po Valley and North Apennines. He was employed with Johnstone Engineering, McGrail Equipment and Butler's Hardware all formerly of Parkesburg and also Spackman Machine.
He was a member of the Upper Octorara Presby. Church and the West Creek Hunting Club of Benton, PA.
He is survived by three children, Margaret "Peggy", wife of Robert L. Zazo of Coatesville, John M. Stoltzfus and wife Cozette of Slate Run, PA and Stephen D. Stoltzfus and wife Dolores of Coopersburg,, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two siblings; Gertrude Temple and Robert I. Stoltzfus.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2 pm at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA with visitation from 1 to 2 PM.
