Harold Dean Abel

Harold Dean Abel, 71, of Gap, PA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Born in Mountain City, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Albert Abel and Vada V. Gentry Abel.

Harold was an area resident most of his life. He was self-employed as a truck driver retiring six years ago. He attended the Faith Community Baptist Church of Downingtown, PA.

He is survived by two sons; David L. Abel and companion Sonia Moore of Honey Brook, PA and Michael D. Abel of Gap, PA, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and special niece Barbara Back who helped take care of Harold when his health began to fail. He was preceded in death by his friend and ex-wife Patsy Sue Abel and three siblings; John Wayne Abel, Eula Mae Abel Stanley and Cecil B. Abel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Nottingham Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Nottingham, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to the time of the service.
