H. Mildred "Mitz" Conover

H. Mildred Conover, 91, of Tel-Hai Retirement Community, formerly of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010. She was the widow of the late J. Kenneth Conover who died in 1987.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Arnold H. and Helen Craig Scott Harkins. Mitz lived in Parkesburg most of her until moving into the Tel-Hai community 15 years ago. She was a 1936 graduate of the Parkesburg High School and a member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 347 of Cochranville. She was employed for many years at the former Lukens Store in Coatesville as an office clerk.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, and friends and loving staff at Tel-Hai Retirement Community.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. with the Rev. Mark E. Beideman officiating, followed by interment at the Penningtonville Presbyterian Cemetery, Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 am to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 W. Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365.
