H. Manley Case

May 27, 1932 — August 12, 2022

H. Manley Case, 90, of Romansville, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Chester County Hospital.  Manley married the love of his life, Kathryn M. (Griffith) Case, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage.

Born in Viola, Delaware, he was the son of the late Carrie (Biddle) Case and Charles L. Case.  Manley was a 1950 graduate of Unionville High School, earned his undergraduate degree at Penn State, and obtained his law degree from Temple Law School.

Manley was a member of Doe Run Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, trustee, and, under the sponsorship of the church, volunteered to build houses for those in need.  He was a member of the PA and New Jersey Bar Associations.

He retired as an Administrative Judge for the Federal Government.

Manley and Kathryn traveled the world together.  He enjoyed collecting coins, golfing, and eating breakfast at the Coffee Cup nearly every Saturday for the past 50 years.

Manley will be remembered for his good sense of humor and being a man of his word, always leading by example.  He loved his family and was a good grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children: Richard Case, husband of Roxann, of Denver, Pa., David Case of Coatesville, and Debra Bixler, wife of Miles, of Columbia, Pa., nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and sister Laura Deckman.

Manley was predeceased by his brother, Charles L. Case, Jr.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 11 AM at Doe Run Presbyterian Church, 3104 Doe Run Church Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by interment at Romansville Methodist Cemetery.  The viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA, and on again on Wednesday at Doe Run Presbyterian Church from 10 AM until the time of the service.
