Glenn Morris Davis

January 18, 1940 — June 6, 2020

Glenn Morris Davis, 80, formerly of Wagontown, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Zerbe Sister’s Retirement Community in Narvon, PA. He was the beloved husband of Gloria Moyer Davis with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late John "Jack" Davis and Juanita Cox Davis.

Glenn had a contagious smile and vivacious personality that always made the people around him laugh. Glenn was a proud member of the Coatesville community his entire life. He was a 1958 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He proudly served in the US Army.

As a devoted family man and follower of Jesus, Glenn exemplified what it looked like to be a husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He demonstrated his love for his wife in all that he did and treasured his memories of raising their family and traveling. His love for his four children was evident by his never-ending support and encouragement. Later in life, Glenn or “Pop”, which he was lovingly known by his grandchildren and friends, was always seen making them laugh, having a catch or telling them stories. His face lit up every time he saw one of his eight grandchildren.

He has a passion for sports, especially baseball and spent many years coaching for the Caln Little League.

Glenn was employed as an insurance agent with the Allstate Insurance Company for over 35 years. He was a member of the Wagontown Union Chapel where he served as a Deacon. His relationship with the Lord was the foundation on which he worked, served, and loved others.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Pam Russell, husband Dale of Reading, PA, Jeffrey Davis, wife Kara of Morgantown, PA, and Bradley Davis, wife Kristen also of Morgantown, eight grandchildren and two siblings; John Davis of Harrisburg, PA and Donna Smith of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his son Glenn Davis.

Due to the current restriction on public gatherings, services, and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Wagontown Union Chapel, P.O. Box 200 Wagontown, PA 19376.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
