Gladys E. "Tootie" Salada

Gladys E. Salada (Tootie), 85, of Christiana, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in Christiana, PA.  She was the wife of the late William (Bill) Salada who passed away in 2007.  Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Walton Reeder.

Gladys was an area resident most of her life.  She enjoyed listening to country music and Elvis.  She was known for her sweet tea, chicken salad, chocolate pudding, and a freezer full of cool-pops.

She enjoyed cooking family dinner, cleaning and taking care of her grandkids. On any given day you could find her sitting in her kitchen listening to the scanner or on her front porch swing.  In her teenage years she enjoyed roller skating.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Brenda) Salada of Christiana, Debbie (Rick) McMinn of Gum Tree, PA, Joe (Missy) Salada of Gap, Bobby Salada of Paradise, PA, and Shelly (Freddie) Fredd of Gap, 8 grandchildren,  and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, PA, with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Friendship Methodist Cemetery, Gumtree, PA.
