Gerald Allen Weaver

Gerald Allen Weaver, 81, of Coatesville, died on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Brandywine Hospital. following a short illness. He was the widower of the late Jacquline Jean Ash Weaver who died in 2004. They shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Edgar P. and Ellen B. Refford Weaver.

He lived in Coatesville all his life and was employed in the Metallurgical Lab, a division of the Quality Assurance Dept. of the former Lukens Steel Co., retiring in 1994 with 31 years of service.

Gerald was a 10 year veteran of the US Navy proudly serving from March 1953 to December of 1962. He was a 1st Class Radioman upon discharge.

He is survived by nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville. Viewing and visitation from 10 to 11am
