George R. Daller

George R. Daller, 88, of Atglen, passed away on April 22, 2021, at Twin Pines Nursing Home in West Grove.  He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor Young Daller, who passed away in 2020 after they had shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Parkesburg, Pa, he was the son of the late George C. and Jane M. Cahill Daller.

George worked on the original construction of the Octorara High School and joined the custodial department for the School District in 1956, retiring after 35 years of service.  He was well known for his radiant smile and friendliness in the hallways and at sporting events.  In 1983 the students dedicated the yearbook to George.  Octorara also honored him by naming the auditorium the George Daller Auditorium.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, roller skating, model trains, and flying model airplanes.  He was always happy to talk about Philadelphia sports teams.

George is survived by his son, G. Richard Daller, and his siblings Donald "Ducky" Daller of West Chester and Dorothy Farrell of Strasburg.

There will be a private service at a later date.
