George Leonard Jr., 80, of Coatesville, PA passed away at Newport Meadows Nursing Home in Christiana on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.   He was the son of the late George Leonard Sr. and Grace (Sweitzer) Leonard of Coatesville.

He was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, where he was awarded a Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon and Metal of Good Conduct, before receiving his honorable discharge after four years of service.

After his time in the Air Force, he was a truck driver for several years in Idaho, eventually moving back to Pennsylvania where he worked as a Metal Fabricator, then went on to work for a Wood Working Company in his pre-retirement years.

In his earlier days George enjoyed Camping, Fishing, Riding Motorcycles, and Racing Cars. George was an excellent mechanic and a talented wood carver. He really enjoyed making crosses, jewelry boxes, and figurines out of wood, which were all very beautiful.   He was an animal lover and was particularly fond of his 5 Cats!
