George H. Glassco

George H. Glassco, 81, of Parkesburg, died on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Pocopson Home, West Chester, PA. He was the husband of Amanda E. Green Glassco with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Major Alfonso Glassco and Edna Weaver Glassco.
An area resident all his life, he was employed as a custodian for the National Rolling Mill of Malvern.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by four children; Alice Walker-Stokes and husband Ellsworth of Honey Brook, PA, George H. "Poppy" Glassco, Jr. of Narvon, PA, Major Alfonso "Porky" Glassco, Jr. of Coatesville, Mary Louise Bisking and husband Richard of Millersville, PA and Henry George Glassco of Parkesburg, 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Debbie, five sisters and three brothers.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00pm at 68 Boroline Road, Parkesburg, PA 19365. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365 to help defray funeral expenses.
