Gary P. Westfall, Sr.

Gary P. Westfall, Sr., 74, of Christiana, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 27, 2020 after a lengthily illness. He was the beloved husband of Carol M. Plant Westfall with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Southend, England, he was the son of the late Russell J. Westfall and Patrice St. Claire Westfall.
Gary moved with his family to the area from England when he was nine years old. He was employed by the former Canine Caterers in West Chester as warehouse manager.

Gary was an avid reader, a "walking encyclopedia", knowledgeable in many fields, including world history and geography, science, natural science, politics, home maintenance and automobiles. He loved fixing up his house and created a beautiful home for his family. Gary always worked hard and he was a rock his family could depend on. He enjoyed trips to the beach, his dogs and driving his Mercedes roadster. "Grump" will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by friends and family.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children; Gary P. Westfall, Jr. and wife Lyka of Strasburg, PA, Heather K. Westfall Reed, VMD and husband Dan Reed of Reading, PA and Daniel P. Westfall of Christiana, PA and three grandchildren; Tabitha, Hailey and Ronnie.
