Frank Richard "Richie" Hash, 56, of Cochranville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Susan Pitkow Hash with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Frank M. Hash of West Chester and the late Jane Riedy Hash.
Richie was an area resident all his life and a 1984 graduate of West Chester East High School. He was self-employed for 35 years in the landscaping business.
Richie was a member of the Waterloo Boys Tractor Club. Besides his family, his lifelong passion was hunting. He was a member of the Bear Paw Lodge in Center County, PA. His greatest hunting achievement was his 13 point, 180-pound field-dressed buck that was a Pennsylvania state record in the compound bow category. The buck was taken in Chester County and was featured in the July 2004 issue of Rack Magazine. Rich also had a passion for John Deere tractors and will always be remembered for his annual John Deere Tractor Parade which has become a Cochranville tradition. Richie was always the life of the party and happy to entertain others, usually at his own expense. He brightened the day of everyone around him.
