Florence Griffiths

Florence Griffiths, 68, of West Brandywine, passed away at her home on Monday, April 4.  She was the wife of Thomas A. Griffiths a month short of 50 years.  She was born in Laurel, MD, and was the daughter of Katherine Hoile Huffstickler, of Bell Glade, FL,  the late Harold Schwamp, and the step daughter of the late O. V. Huffstickler.

She lived in this area since 1966 and was a member of Hibernia Methodist Church, The Red Hatters and Sadsbury Garden Club, and enjoyed bingo and was a member of both Martins Corner and Wagontown Ladies Auxillary. She was employed by Kraph Busses and Heatherwood Retirement Home.
She was proud of her Native American heritage and was a member of the Oneida Indian Tribe. She also enjoyed painting and art.
She is survived in addition to her mother and husband by three children, Thomas O.Griffiths, of Wellsboro, PA, Gwendolyn (Anthony) DiPietrantanio, of Honey Brook, and Timothy (Jennifer) Griffiths of Wilmington, DE., six grandchildren,Anthony, Ashlynne, Amanda, Timothy, Grace and Nicholas, and  siblings, Sharidan Schwamp of VA, Cassie Manger of FL,step-sister, Carolyn, of WS, and step-brother, Joe, of CA.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Julie Wilson.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 1PM form the Hibernia Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Rd., Coatesville, PA. Internment in the adjacent cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
Memorial donations can be made in her name to Hibernia Methodist Church at the above address and Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce Dr., Suite C, Ft. Washington, PA 19034.
