Eugene Simms

Eugene Simms,85, of Downingtown, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 22, 2015.  He was the husband of the late Peggy Lonas Simms. Born in West Marlborough Township he was the son of the late James and Aleah Mattson Simms.

He was a graduate of Coatesville High School in 1950 and was a retired service technician for Thomas C. Medford Fuel Oil Company.  He served in the US Army.

He is survived by the following children, Ann (Jeff) Slaymaker of Coatesville, Eugene (Judy) Simms Jr. of Holtwood, Judy Karmilowicz of Ephrata, Ronald Simms of Downingtown, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by six siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Hephzibah Baptist Church in East Fallowfield. Friends may call from 10:00 until time of service.  Internment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
