Esther Elizabeth Broomell

August 28, 1928 — December 13, 2024

Esther Elizabeth Broomell, 96, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community. She was the widow of the late William C. Broomell who died in 1983. Born in Honey Brook Township, she was the daughter of Winfield Scott Frybarger and Mary Elsie Beam Frybarger.

Esther was an area resident all her life and a 1946 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. She was a faithful member of the Wyebrook Baptist Church of Elverson, PA.

Esther will be fondly remembered by many folks for her very unique talent of yodeling.

She is survived by one son Donald B. Broomell and wife Sue (Shepherd) of Honey Brook, six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and seven great great grandSONS. She was preceded in death by one daughter Carol Jean Nye, one stepson Charles S. Broomell, one great grandson, Joshua Broomell and four siblings; Helen Ingram, E. Marie Pierce, James A. Frybarger and W. Scott Frybarger.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Wyebrook Baptist Church, 62 New Road, Elverson, PA 19520 with visitation at the church from 10:00 AM to the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery in Honey Brook, PA.
